Memorandum Circular No. 143, issued on September 27, 2007, enjoins all Philippine government offices to support the "Sing For Me: A Call For Peace And Unity" project launched by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The initiative, which began on September 22, 2007, involves community singing of Christmas carols to benefit disadvantaged children and promote peace and unity among Filipinos. Bi-monthly concerts will lead up to the main event scheduled for December 15, 2007, at the Marikina Sports Complex. All government entities, including Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations and State Colleges and Universities, are encouraged to contribute to the project's success.

ENJOINING ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICES TO EXTEND SUPPORT AND COOPERATION TO THE "SING FOR ME: A CALL FOR PEACE AND UNITY" PROJECT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD)
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will launch the "Sing For Me: A Call For Peace And Unity" project on 22 September 2007, at the Quezon City Hall Plaza, a simultaneous serenade and community singing of Christmas carols by the chorale groups of the local government units and other sectors for the benefit of disadvantaged children. This project aims to promote peace and unity among Filipinos, here and abroad, through music. There will be bi-monthly concerts after the launching as a prelude to the main event, which is scheduled on 15 December 2007, at the Marikina Sports Complex. CTaIHE
In view thereof, all government offices, including Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) and State Colleges and Universities (SUCs), are hereby enjoined to extend its support and cooperation to help promote the objectives of this project and contribute to its success.
