Memorandum Order No. 220-A, issued on January 4, 2007, by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, repeals the previous Memorandum Order No. 220 from June 24, 2006, which had directed the Presidential Management Staff to oversee strategic and complex projects. The oversight responsibilities are now transferred to the relevant government agencies responsible for monitoring such programs, as outlined in the Administrative Code of 1987, or to any future ad-hoc oversight committees. This order is effective immediately.

MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 220-A

REPEALING MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 220 DATED JUNE 24, 2006, ENTITLED "DIRECTING THE PRESIDENTIAL MANAGEMENT STAFF TO HELP OVERSEE STRATEGIC AND/OR COMPLEX PROJECTS"

I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by the power vested in me by law, do hereby order:

SECTION 1. Repeal of Memorandum Order No. 220, Series of 2006. — Memorandum Order No. 220 dated June 24, 2006 is hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. Transfer of Oversight Function. — The oversight function of the Presidential Management Staff for strategic and/or complex projects under Memorandum Order No. 220 is hereby turned-over to the respective government agencies tasked with the monitoring of such programs and activities under Book IV of Executive Order No. 292, also known as the "Administrative Code of 1987", or to any ad-hoc oversight committee that may be created hereafter.

SECTION 3. Effectivity. — This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
