Memorandum Order No. 324, issued on December 1, 1995, establishes a task force to develop a comprehensive plan to enhance tourism, investment, and trade opportunities in Club Intramuros, the Manila Hotel, and the Walled City of Intramuros. This task force aims to address issues such as the degeneration of the Walled City caused by squatters and deteriorating infrastructure, as well as the need for collaboration among relevant agencies. Chaired by Secretary Eduardo Pilapil from the Department of Tourism, the task force includes members from various governmental and non-governmental organizations. The task force is required to submit a progress report within 30 days and a comprehensive plan by June 30, 1996.

MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 324
There is hereby created a task force to prepare a comprehensive plan aimed at optimizing tourism, investment and trade opportunities of Club Intramuros, Manila Hotel and the Walled City (of Intramuros). The Task Force shall likewise address the continuing degeneration of the Walled City brought about by the squatters, deteriorating buildings and lack of teamwork among concerned agencies.

The Task Force shall submit its first progress report to the Office of the President, through the Office of the Executive Secretary, within thirty (30) days from issuance of this Order, and the plan not later than 30 June 1996.
