Memorandum Circular No. 115, issued on September 22, 2006, authorizes officials and employees of various national and local government units to participate in the National Convention of the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) on November 10-11, 2006. The convention, themed "GO GREEN: PLANNING FOR A GREENER PHILIPPINES," will take place at the Occupational Safety and Health Center in Quezon City. Participation is granted on official time, with the government only covering salary costs, provided that attendance does not hinder office functions or public service delivery.

MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 115

AUTHORIZING THE PARTICIPATION ON OFFICIAL TIME OF OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES IN VARIOUS NATIONAL AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS IN THE NATIONAL CONVENTION OF THE PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNERS

The Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) will hold its National Convention on November 10 to 11, 2006, with the theme: "GO GREEN: PLANNING FOR A GREENER PHILIPPINES" at the Occupational Safety and Health Center, North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon, City.

In support of the government's efforts towards a better Philippine environment, officials and employees in various national and local government units are hereby authorized to attend the above-mentioned Convention on official time only, at no cost to the government except payment of their salaries, provided that such attendance will not adversely affect the functions of their respective offices as well as the delivery of services to the public.
