Republic Act No. 10359 designates March 26 of each year as a special working public holiday throughout the Province of Cebu to commemorate its liberation from Japanese occupation during World War II. This act extends the existing recognition in the City of Talisay to the entire province. The law will take effect 15 days after its publication in a national newspaper of general circulation. The approval date of the act is January 9, 2013.

AN ACT DECLARING MARCH 26 OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF CEBU TO COMMEMORATE THE HISTORIC LIBERATION OF CEBU FROM THE JAPANESE OCCUPATION DURING WORLD WAR II
SECTION 1. March 26 of every year is hereby declared as a special working public holiday not only in the City of Talisay, by virtue of Republic Act No. 7280, but also in the entire Province of Cebu to commemorate the historic liberation of Cebu from the Japanese occupation during World War II. aTDcAH
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in at least one (1) national newspaper of general circulation.
