PRC BOARD OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE RESOLUTION NO. 04-04
GUIDELINES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SECTION 24, AUTOMATIC REGISTRATION OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS, ARTICLE V OF R.A. NO. 9053, KNOWN AS THE "PHILIPPINE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE ACT OF 2000"
WHEREAS, Sec. 24, Art. V of R.A. No. 9053, known as the "Philippine Landscape Architecture Act of 2000", provides that "All Landscape Architects who are registered at the time this act takes effect shall automatically be registered"; and
WHEREAS, registration as practiced by the Commission in accordance with the various professional regulatory laws is enacted by the Congress of the Philippines as implemented by the various regulatory boards created thereunder, requires the payment of registration fees in accordance with R.A. No. 465 as amended by R.A. No. 6511 and the signing of the roll of professionals for each of the professions;
WHEREFORE, the Board hereby resolved, as it now resolves, to provide the following guidelines for the implementation of Section 24, Art. V of R.A. No. 9053:
SECTION 1. All Registered Landscape Architects registered under the Specialty Board of Landscape Architecture shall be re-registered by the Board of Landscape Architecture created by R.A. No. 9053.
SECTION 2. The unit of the Registration Division of the Commission in charge of Landscape Architecture shall provide the exact number of Landscape Architects registered by the Specialty Board of Landscape Architecture in the new Registry Book of Landscape Architects who shall now be re-registered by the Board of Landscape Architecture upon submission of the required documents in Section 4 hereof and upon payment of the prescribed initial registration fee and annual registration fees for three (3) years.
SECTION 3. The Certificate of Registration of Landscape Architects to be issued by the Board of Landscape Architecture shall be signed by the First Chairman and Members thereof and the Chairperson of the Commission.
SECTION 4. Those re-registering shall submit to the Commission the following documents:
4.1 Application Form and Permanent Examination Registration Record Card (PERRC)
4.2 Original copy of the Certificate of Registration
4.3 Original copy of the Professional Identification Card or Professional License Card
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following its full and complete publication in the Official Gazette or in any newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines.
SECTION 6. Copies of this Resolution shall be furnished to the President of the Philippine Association of Landscape Architects, Inc. (PALA), for dissemination to their members.
