Batas Pambansa Blg. 597, enacted on June 24, 1983, establishes a ten-bed municipal hospital in Bucay, Abra, to be named Bucay Municipal Hospital. The funding for its construction and initial operations, not exceeding 750,000 pesos, will come from appropriations authorized for the Ministry of Health under Batas Pambansa Blg. 230. Ongoing operational and maintenance costs will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The Act takes effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on May 7, 1984.

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A MUNICIPAL HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BUCAY, PROVINCE OF ABRA, TO BE KNOWN AS THE BUCAY MUNICIPAL HOSPITAL
SECTION 1. There shall be established a ten-bed municipal hospital in the Municipality of Bucay, Province of Abra, to be known as Bucay Municipal Hospital.
SECTION 2. The amount necessary for the construction and operation of the hospital not to exceed seven hundred fifty thousand pesos shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Health intended for new or expanded hospitals. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. acd
