Republic Act No. 1703, enacted on June 21, 1957, establishes the creation of five new barrios within the Municipality of Calape, Bohol. The sitios of Binogawan, Masonoy, Bintig, Cahayag, and Lawis are officially designated as barrios. The Act took effect immediately upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on August 31, 1957.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1703
AN ACT CREATING CERTAIN BARRIOS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CALAPE, PROVINCE OF BOHOL
SECTION 1. The sitios of Binogawan, Masonoy, Bintig, Cahayag, and Lawis, Municipality of Calape, Province of Bohol, are converted into barrios of said municipality to be known as the barrios of Binogawan, Masonoy, Bintig, Cahayag, and Lawis, respectively.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
