Republic Act No. 3934, enacted on June 18, 1964, mandates that deceased Filipino veterans be buried with their caskets draped in the Filipino flag, which will be provided at no cost by the government. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3934

AN ACT REQUIRING THAT FILIPINO VETERANS WHO DIE SHALL BE BURIED WITH THEIR CASKETS COVERED WITH THE FILIPINO FLAG

SECTION 1. Filipino veterans who die shall be buried with their caskets covered with the Filipino flag which shall be furnished by the Government free.

SECTION 2. To carry into effect the provision of this Act, the sum of fifty thousand pesos is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the purchase of flags.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
