Batas Pambansa Blg. 595, enacted on June 24, 1983, converts the Lalawigan Municipal High School in Borongan, Eastern Samar, into a national high school named Lalawigan National High School. The school will continue to be funded through local sources and its share of national aid for the current fiscal year, with future funding to be addressed in upcoming General Appropriations Acts. The act took effect immediately upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on May 7, 1984.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE LALAWIGAN MUNICIPAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BORONGAN, EASTERN SAMAR, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE LALAWIGAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Lalawigan Municipal High School in Barangay Lalawigan, Borongan, Eastern Samar, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Lalawigan National High School.
SECTION 2. The operation of said school for the current fiscal year shall continue to be funded out of local funds and from its share of national aid to local schools. The requirements for succeeding fiscal years shall be provided in the forthcoming General Appropriations Acts. acd
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
