Batas Pambansa Blg. 143, enacted on February 8, 1982, converts the Gapan Provincial High School in Nueva Ecija into a national high school, now known as Gapan National High School. The Ministry of Education and Culture is tasked with overseeing the conversion and implementation of this change. An initial funding of two hundred thousand pesos is allocated for the school's operation, sourced from the appropriations under Batas Pambansa Blg. 80, with future funding to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The law takes effect immediately upon approval.

AN ACT CONVERTING GAPAN PROVINCIAL HIGH SCHOOL SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF GAPAN, PROVINCE OF NUEVA ECIJA, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE GAPAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

SECTION 1. The Gapan Provincial High School situated in the Municipality of Gapan, Province of Nueva Ecija, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Gapan National High School.

SECTION 2. The Ministry of Education and Culture is hereby directed to take steps as are necessary for the conversion, operation and immediate implementation of this Act.

SECTION 3. The amount of two hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be charged to the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 80 for the Ministry of Education and Culture intended for new national schools. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be provided for in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
