Batas Pambansa Blg. 734, enacted on April 13, 1984, converts specific provincial roads in Marinduque into national roads. The roads included are the Boac-Torrijos Interior Road (Dr. Damian Reyes Memorial Highway) and the Escolta-Lipata-Dampuan-Tiqui Road. Funding for the improvement and maintenance of these roads will be sourced from an existing lump-sum appropriation until new funds are allocated in future appropriations acts. The law takes effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on October 29, 1984.

BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 734
AN ACT CONVERTING CERTAIN PROVINCIAL ROADS IN THE PROVINCE OF MARINDUQUE INTO NATIONAL ROADS
SECTION 1. The following provincial roads in the Province of Marinduque are converted into and declared as national roads:
(a) Boac-Torrijos Interior Road, otherwise known as the Dr. Damian Reyes Memorial Highway
(b) Escolta-Lipata-Dampuan-Tiqui Road in the municipalities of Buenavista and Torrijos.
SECTION 2. The amount necessary for the improvement and maintenance of said roads shall continue to be funded out of the lump-sum appropriation authorized under Batas Pambansa Blg. 640 for the repair and maintenance of local roads until such time that the maintenance funds for said roads shall have been provided for in the succeeding appropriations acts.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
