Batas Pambansa Blg. 449, enacted on June 10, 1983, converts the Bubuan Barangay High School in Sumisip, Basilan, into a national high school, now named Bubuan National High School. An initial funding of one hundred thousand pesos is allocated from the appropriations for the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports, with additional financial support based on previous budgetary aid. Future operational and maintenance costs will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The law takes effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on April 2, 1984.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE BUBUAN BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SUMISIP, PROVINCE OF BASILAN, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE BUBUAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Bubuan Barangay High School in the Municipality of Sumisip, Province of Basilan, is converted into a national high school to be known as the Bubuan National High School. casia
SECTION 2. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Bilang 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national schools and an additional amount corresponding to fifty percent of its share in the budgetary aid actually paid to it before such conversion shall be released for its operation from the national assistance fund to local schools. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
