Republic Act No. 2557, enacted on June 21, 1959, officially changes the name of Patao Primary School to Bawod Primary School, located in the barrio of Bawod, Municipality of Bantayan, Province of Cebu. The Act takes effect immediately upon its approval and was enacted without the need for executive approval. It was subsequently published in the Official Gazette on September 28, 1959.

AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE PATAO PRIMARY SCHOOL IN THE BARRIO OF BAWOD, MUNICIPALITY OF BANTAYAN, PROVINCE OF CEBU, TO BAWOD PRIMARY SCHOOL
SECTION 1. The name of the Patao Primary School in the barrio of Bawod, Municipality of Bantayan, Province of Cebu, is changed to Bawod Primary School.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
