Memorandum Order No. 432, issued on May 30, 1997, authorizes officials and employees of the Office of the President (OP) to participate in the Inter-Agency Mini Olympics organized by the Department of Health for World No Tobacco Day. The event aims to promote employee welfare and sportsmanship, with authorized attendees permitted to miss work during the first week of June, as scheduled by the Personnel Office. Transportation will be provided, and a medical team will assist during the practice and actual events. Participants will receive an allowance of 80 pesos each, funded by PAGCOR, and a report on OP's involvement is to be submitted three weeks post-event.

MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 432

AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION OF OP (PROPER) OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE MINI-OLYMPICS SPEARHEADED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN OBSERVANCE OF THE WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY ON MAY 31, 1997

In view of the importance of the one-day Inter-Agency Mini Olympics with the theme "United for a Tobacco Free World," spearheaded by the Department of health, in observance of the World No Tobacco Day (WNTD), and in line with the OP sports activities as part of its Human Resource Development Program to enhance employee welfare, morale, productivity, sportsmanship and camaraderie, the employees enumerated in the attached list, are hereby authorized to participate in the practice games scheduled for the purpose at the Kalayaan Grounds, Malacañang, Manila and at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Malate, Manila. The attendance of the OP Senior officials and the athletes in the Inter-Agency Mini-Olympics on May 31, 1997 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, is likewise authorized on official time. Said personnel who are authorized to attend the Saturday activity on May 31, 1997, may not report to the office any day of the first week of June, subject to the scheduling by the Personnel Office. A PSG vehicle and a Motorpool shuttle service will be made available by the Committee on Transportation at the Old GSIS Compound at 6:00 a.m. on May 31, 1997. The OP delegation is expected to be at the PICC grounds in time for the start of the 6:30 a.m. Fun Walk (Parade) from PICC to the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

A Medical Team from the Malacañang Clinic shall provide medical service for the OP delegation during its practice on May 29, 1997 and during the actual event on May 31, 1997.

For this purpose, the OP personnel (enumerated in the attached lists), are authorized an allowance of Eighty Pesos (P80.00) each during their practice at the Mini-Olympics site on May 29, 1997, as well as their participation in the actual event on May 31, 1997, chargeable against the funds donated by PAGCOR, subject to the availability thereof and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.

The OP Sports Captain and the Sports Coordinator for the OP participation in the Inter-Agency Mini-Olympics shall submit to the undersigned a report of OP's participation three weeks after the event.
