Memorandum Circular No. 144, issued on October 11, 2007, amends a previous circular to authorize all mechanical engineers from government agencies, local government units, state colleges and universities, and government-owned corporations to attend the 55th Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers Annual National Convention from October 24-27, 2007. Attendance is permitted on official time and at no additional cost to the government, aside from salary payments. However, this participation is contingent upon ensuring that it does not disrupt the operations of their respective offices or the delivery of public services.

AMENDING MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 142, DATED SEPTEMBER 12, 2007 BY AUTHORIZING ALL MECHANICAL ENGINEERS FROM GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS, STATE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES AND GOVERNMENT-OWNED AND CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS TO ATTEND THE 55TH PHILIPPINE SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS (PSMC) ANNUAL NATIONAL CONVENTION ON OCTOBER 24-27, 2007 ON OFFICIAL BUSINESS

The Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers will hold its 55th Annual National Convention on October 24-27 at the Cebu International Convention Center. ITcCSA

In this connection, Mechanical Engineers in various government agencies and local government-owned and controlled corporations, are hereby authorized to attend the above-mentioned Convention on official time only, at no cost to the government except payment of their salaries, provided such attendance will not adversely affect the functions of their respective offices as well as the delivery of services to the public. laws2007
